Ali Ben Lmadani is the CEO and founder of ABL Aviation. Building on his career in investment banking and early success as an entrepreneur, Mr. Ben Lmadani launched ABL Aviation in 2014. In just under a decade, he led the company to become the preeminent independent aircraft lessor in the industry. Known for his expertise in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia markets, as well as for developing innovative alternative investment models, Mr. Ben Lmadani leads aircraft transactions worldwide, helping the top international and fastest-growing regional airlines modernize their fleets and adapt to ever-changing market conditions. Under his leadership, ABL Aviation has grown to over $5 billion in assets under management and amassed a fleet of over 80 aircraft. Today, the firm serves leading investors and airlines from its offices in Dublin, Casablanca, New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
An entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Ben Lmadani was 22 years old when he launched his first company, ABL Industries, a leading GSE export firm still in operation today. In addition, he is the founder of successful businesses in real estate, agriculture, maritime logistics, and hospitality, which he leads as CEO of ABL Corporation.
Mr. Ben Lmadani appeared on the 2019 Airline Economics “Top 40 Under 40” list and has won numerous awards, including Choiseul’s 100 Africa Economic Leaders of Tomorrow 2023 and Corporate Livewire’s Investment Management Professional of the Year 2023. He is also a board member of the Wings Club Foundation.
