Raphael Samson

Raphael Samson is a mechanical systems engineer from UTC, he joined the aeronautics sector with ALTEN by providing engineering consulting to AIRBUS Helicopters.

In 2011 he joined Morocco and the IMA – the Institute of Aeronautics Professions, to develop technical and managerial training partnerships with aeronautics companies.

In 2013, within BOMBARDIER Aerospace North Africa, he held various positions in Production management by starting the Learjet program, in management of the CRJ and Learjet Programs, then in Industrial Transfer management.

In 2017 he joined the SABCA group to manage the Moroccan plant specializing in the assembly and equipment of aerostructures.

Bringing together a multi-skilled and multi-site team, he continues the development of the SABCA group in Morocco with the construction of a new 16,000 m² factory and, thanks to the synergies between SABCA Morocco and its parent company Belgium, the SABCA group won in 2021 the assembly and equipment of the complete fuselage and wing structures of the Pilatus PC12 Business Jet. This new contract boosts the growth of the Moroccan site which now has 300+ employees.

In 2024, he is back at the IMA to prepare and launch his 3rd phase: selecting and strengthening current professions, and identifying tomorrow’s professions & equipment in order to serve the aeronautics industry of 2030.
